Cushing Police pursuit ends in jail after UTV theft

CUSHING — An Agra man was arrested May 6 after allegedly stealing an utility vehicle, evading police (unsuccessfully) and kicking a police officer in the groin in Cushing. On May 7, Justin Farish Howard, 20, of Agra, appeared in Payne County court on one count of assault and battery on a police officer, one count of grand larceny, and one count of public intoxication following his arrest by Cushing Police David Smith.

CUSHING - The Cushing Elementary being built down Harmony Road is taking shape alongside several other 2022 bond construction projects. “It is coming along nicely,” said Cushing Public Schools’ Superintendent Melissa Amon.

2024 Oklahoma Scholarship Competition Recipients

OKLAHOMA CITY — Ninety-two Oklahoma high school students earned more than $100,000 in cash scholarships and tuition grants through the Oklahoma Scholarship Competition and were recognized at the annual Scholarship Awards Assembly on April 24 at the Oklahoma Hall of Fame and Gaylord-Pickens Museum.
